MODULE 1 - Residential Cybersecurity Assessment | Homeowner Information
The Homeowner Information module serves as the foundation for your personalized Residential Cybersecurity Assessment. It gathers essential background details about your household’s technology environment, digital behaviors, and existing security practices to establish a clear cybersecurity baseline. This module reviews your home network configuration, connected devices, internet access points, and family member digital habits. It also examines current security tools, password management practices, and overall awareness to help establish your initial cybersecurity posture. Completing this module helps identify high-risk areas early in the process and creates the baseline needed for accurate scoring across all 18 modules if you choose to complete the full program.
Upon completion, you will receive a detailed risk report based on your responses, including your overall cybersecurity rating, identified strengths and weaknesses, and specific recommendations to reduce your overall risk profile. A one-hour virtual consultation is included in the program fee, during which a cybersecurity specialist will review your personalized results, highlight vulnerabilities, and provide practical next steps tailored to your home’s unique environment. You will also receive a Certificate of Completion, summarizing your results, recommendations, and overall cybersecurity score—valid for two years.
This module also introduces general cybersecurity awareness training, helping participants understand the most common digital threats faced by homeowners today. The training covers password hygiene, phishing awareness, data privacy basics, and practical steps for maintaining safe online behaviors across all family members. It’s designed to build confidence, improve digital literacy, and strengthen your ability to recognize and prevent everyday cyber risks.
Participants have the flexibility to select the level of engagement that best meets their needs. The Complete Risk Assessment Program includes all 18 modules and 980 questions, providing a comprehensive evaluation of your home’s digital and physical security posture, along with your consolidated risk report, awareness training, consultation, and certification. Alternatively, you may select individual modules (“cherry pick”) most relevant to your situation—such as Network & Wi-Fi Security, Smart Home & IoT Device Protection, or Financial & Identity Protection—and receive an individualized report and consultation focused on those specific areas.
While these assessments, recommendations, and awareness training are designed to significantly reduce your exposure to cyber threats, no solution can eliminate risk entirely. Cybersecurity is an ongoing process that requires continual awareness, regular updates, and persistent vigilance.
